About TAS

| |
| The Tenants Advice Service Inc (TAS) is a not for profit community
legal centre funded to assist residential tenants. |
| |
| Established in 1979, TAS remains the only specialist legal service
for tenants in Western Australia. TAS provides services and information to tenants and community
workers who assist tenants in both metropolitan and rural WA. TAS
also engages in law and policy reform to improve the legal and
social position of tenants. |
| |
| Tenants can access information, publications, advice and advocacy
through our advice line, free-call numbers and our website. TAS
also provides free training and workshops for community workers
who assist tenants. |
| |
| TAS is funded through the Commonwealth Community Legal Service
Program and the State Department of Commerce and is the Central Resource Unit for a network of fifteen other agencies
(WA Tenancy Network) that employ advocates providing tenancy advice
throughout WA. |
