TAS conducted research into: Why tenants won't exercise their
rights - The realities of the current rental market in Perth.
This report by TAS Policy Officer Nicola Milsom was released in
October 2006.
Public housing issues with which TAS is presently engaged through
the Housing Operations Standing Committee include:
- Drive-by inspections
- Terminations related to income eligibility
- Responses to under-occupied premises by Homeswest
- S.64 evictions
(no cause) by Homeswest
- Conversion of Homeswest correspondence
with tenants to plain English formats.
