TAS Training
Tenants Advice Service (TAS) training is provided free of charge
to community workers, volunteers or students with a community organisation
and who assist residential tenants through the provision of information,
advice, advocacy or support.
As this training is largely funded through the interest on bonds
lodged by tenants, it is not available to those only with a landlord
role.
TAS is a registered training organisation (RTO). Two of the courses
listed on the TAS Training Calendar include nationally recognised
units of competence which provide progress towards at least two
Community Services qualifications.
Enquiries:
For enquiries regarding registration for training please call
the TAS administration line on 9221 9499.
For enquiries regarding training content, availability of training
in regional areas, queries about training or information sessions
at your agency, please contact the Community Legal Education Coordinator
Michelle Burgermeister on the same number.
Registration:
The Training Calendar includes a registration form. Training
courses are conducted subject to minimum and maximum required
numbers
of participants. Therefore if you register and then are unable
to attend, it is important you let us know ASAP so that someone
else on the waiting list can take your place.
Morning and afternoon tea is provided, however lunch is not. Unless
otherwise stated, training is held in the Conference Room at Claisebrook
Lotteries House, 33 Moore Street, East Perth.
All training is subject to alteration or cancellation. Registration
will be confirmed in writing by TAS to the individual named on the
registration form. A registration package will be mailed to you.
If you have any special needs, you need to let us know when you
register. If you register and change your contact details, you need
to advise TAS.
The three core TAS courses are:
Tenancy and the Law for Community Workers
Tenancy and the Law - Homeswest
Court Advocacy (Tenants)
